12:40 pm - Groundhog Day.... AGAIN!
~Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. ~
- Albert Einstein
I know exactly how Bill Murray felt, slapping his hand down on that alarm clock, Just once... Just once i'd like to wake up to a day that was something different to the last. Now before i get crucified for not being proactive in life with the common cliches of, "Iife is what you make of it!" or "Pull your finger out and do something with your life," I'd just like to say that where i am in my life is an endless stream of beige nonimproving monotony.
Don't get me wrong, i'm very happy with my life, the sky is blue... mostly, the trees are a sickly odd brown colour (As close as we can get to green in this drought ridden state) and the crows are warbling their incessant screeches. It's just something deep deep down in the mind (ooooh ... so totally deep man) that clicks occasionally, and you find yourself going... "What the hell am i doing?"
Currently, my life is filled with failed attempts at romance, dull work and a lack of goals or objectives, i can live with this but... i have for a while! It's hard to explain exactly what runs through my head, i'm usually pretty good with words...
As humans, we generally need a catalyst to bounce into action, whether it be the need for money, the need for power, sex etc etc... I just need a catalyst of change, something to spark some kind of innate reaction...
Adventure time anyone!? BUTTTT, of course, there is plenty of amazing things in my life! My family, friends, music, football... these are my muses, they are my solace in a beige environment...
Also, i'd like to note, the next blog won't be as depressing... i assure you Current Mood: content

10:34 pm - The pretentiousness of perfection
Well, the ol' chestnut goes, "There's a moment in everyboy's life where he becomes a man", Unfortunatley for me, my moment is a long drawn out whirlybird ride of monotonous instanity. No no, that's not an oxymoron, it's the life of a beige young man by the name of Thomas J. Hampson, extraordinarre.
